  • Had a wonderful day today with my little olive. It started by having lunch with my old friend @mimimischka and meeting her beautiful Penelope. It’s crazy to think that Miriam was my first official internet friend back when MySpace had just started becoming popular 15 years ago. I remember being so intrigued by meeting someone who had similar art interests as me 🎨 and lived in a different part of the city. 🙈 Today we sat for lunch talking about motherhood, family and making time for our passions (as we chased our little ones in the restaurant 😂) then Olive and I went for some ice cream 🍦to try and cool off 🌸 How’s y’alls day going?
  • This is one of my favorite photos of Kaleena, a beautiful mother gazing at her newborn baby with love. Reminded me of the feast day that we celebrate today in the Catholic Church: The Assumption of Mary. & with that is like to share this reflection that I spoke to me as a mother ... . . By contemplating Mary in heavenly glory, we understand that the earth is not the definitive homeland for us either, and that if we live with our gaze fixed on eternal goods we will one day share in this same glory and the earth will become more beautiful. 🌸 . . Consequently, we must not lose our serenity and peace even amid the thousands of daily difficulties. 🙌🏻 The luminous sign of Our Lady taken up into Heaven shines out even more brightly when sad shadows of suffering and violence seem to loom on the horizon. ☁️ 👑 . .   • I finally found a nice spot for this lithography print I created in college. Yes, it’s a drawing of a butt and mom freaked when she first saw it. 🙈 So now I’ve placed it in the room at the very back end of our home next to my plants 🌱 🌿🌵, where you’ll only see it if you stay a while. 😝And no I’m not obsessed with butts but I do love drawing the human figure. 😊Maybe I’ll pull out more of my old drawings and get them framed.   • seriously, this session felt like a styled shoot for a children's brand.
